New version of Transparent clock & weather being released

A new version of the popular application, Transparent clock & weather is now being released on Google Play. It should be available in the next 1 or 2 hours. Besides the weather server error fix and the addition of a new weather provider, this new version of the application includes important bug fixes, optimizations, widget layout changes, many new features, new localisations and language corrections. Following is the list of changes, additions and features.

Note that even though there were some changes in the current weather conditions page, you can still bring back the old layout from settings, Weather & location settings, Use new forecast layout (un-check this option). You can also bring back the moon icon on the current conditions page by checking the Display moon phase option under settings, Appearance settings, Advanced settings.

    Still something is wrong...just updated but the temperature is very very wrong....there are 8 degrees outside (romania, cluj) the app shows 19....

    Still not working right, it is 80 degrees and cloudy but app says it's 5 degrees and clear, no 5 day or hourly forecasts, I live in eastern time zone but app is giving time like I'm in central time zone

      Same here on the Continent. Looks like everywhere is 27C with automatic location. Setting location Manually works fine.

    It's getting there! The widget shows correct time and temp, but sunrise and sunset shows sunrise at about 2 AM and sunset around 2 PM here in Burbank, CA. (should be about 7AM and PM today.) When things were kerflooey I was looking at temporary alternatives, but this is really what I like best. It's clean, unobtrusive, and, of course, transparent.

      Thanks Ira. We are working hard on fixing bugs and adding at least one more weather provider. The application will soon become as good (and even better) as it was before the server problems. Just make sure to check for updates (if you do not have automatic updates for the application enabled) and install new versions.

    WeatherBug seems to be accurate with an extensive range of weather data, and they offer enterprise API services (including free trials)...might be worth looking in to.

    The option to change the server disappeared...and now? The app still works bad, we have 35°C outside and the app shows 21°C. We have to change the app? Please, an urgent solution

      We will soon add another weather server that will provide the accurate results for all locations. We are currently testing and will be releasing a beta version soon.

    Another detail, my location is in Argentina (GMT-3:00), but the app shows my location at GMT+00:00 which is impossible...I am in Argentina. It seems you have a lot of work to do with this app

      Thanks for the feedback. The timezone issue was fixed in the latest version. Please refresh the weather and it should be corrected. email us if you have any more problems.

    Hi, thanks for the excellent weather app! One issue I found using xiaomi redmi 2 is the time displayed on the widget will not update automatically (have to click on the widget or lock/unlock the phone).

    On my home screen display.....it's showing an hourly forecast. I've randomly done it a few times to where it will show the weekly forecast. How do I change it?

      There is a hot spot at the lower right corner of the widget that toggles from hourly to daily forecast and vice versa. Tap it to switch back to weekly forecast.

    How to set 2 locations in this widget? For example, is ot possible to know the time of New York & London in this widget?

      Hi Arun. You can add two locations and the locations you need (from the weather forecast page). Then simply tap the location on each widget to switch to the desired location. Email us if you have any more questions.

      If you are using the latest version, the file is stored under the /Android/data/com.droid27.transparentclockweather folder

    Time zone is wrong, I'm in CMT and app shows GMT. I don't see any options in the time and settings to change it. Also, it does not automatically update for DST?

      Thanks for reporting this. Go to settings (tap the minutes on the widget), shoose the option before the last one (Advanced settings), choose the first option (Language) and choose Default or the desired language. Ekaim us if you have any more questions.

    The moon phase on the current conditions widget always shows as a full moon even though I have the Display moon phase option checked. I have to use a separate widget from the Moon Phase Pro app in order to get the correct phase. Is this a known problem? Sure would like to see a fix for this.
