If your phone is running version 4.0 (ICS) or later
- Open the Applications drawer
- Select the Widgets tab from the top (see image below)
- Find the widget, tap and hold for a couple of seconds, then drop it on your home screen
- Go to the home screen (tap the home button on your phone)
- Make sure that the home screen has enough space to hold a 4x2 widget
- Tap and hold on an empty space on your home screen until a popup menu appears
- Choose Widgets from the list or menu
- Locate the widget and select it

Running android 4.1...widget does not appear in widget area and cannot add by holding the screen on the home page.
ReplyDeletePlease make sure that the application is installed on internal memory, not on the SD card. Restart your device and try to add the widget again.

ReplyDeleteThe same applies for all devices. Widgets cannot run if installed on the SD card. Also for some devices a reboot is needed for the widget to appear under the Widgets list.

ReplyDeletePlease follow the directions above and you should be able to add a widget. If you cannot find the widget under your Widgets list, make sure that the application is installed on internal memory (not on the SD card), restart your device and you will see the widget.

It depends on the widget you are using. Currently, only the Sense flip clock and Sense V2 flip clock widgets perform animation
DeleteWhile trying to find hot spots, I somehow changed my widget location to Desoto texas. How can I change it back to California? I went to settings and entered my city and state but it stays on texas. Is there some way to get to settings beside just clicking the widget that has the time? I thought the widget with 5 day forcast is cute but with no time on that widget, I have no way to get to settings. It would be nice to have a setting hot spot on the full sized screen for big thumbs. I dont have this app on my sd card either.

ReplyDeleteTrying to add the widget on my phone (samsung galaxy note 2) so it comes up that it can not find my poistion and check internet connection and try again. The internet is on and I've tried both with and without GPS, but still it can not find my poistion. When entering a city so change it to not when changing city. How should I do?
ReplyDeleteTry restarting your device first. There should be no problem for the application to find your location.
